Positive Recognition Committee
2007 – 2008

The Positive Recognition Committee was begun as an ad hoc committee in April 1993. In 1998, the committee was established as one of the University’s Administrative Committees. The mission of this committee is to support and promote employee recognition efforts. The committee meets monthly to maintain current recognition programs and to develop new initiatives. Specific awards administered by the Positive Recognition Committee include the Send Roses Award, UT Team Excellence Award, Volunteer Spirit Award, and the University’s Citation for Extraordinary Customer Service. The Committee is currently working to establish a comprehensive information center for all UT employee recognition programs.

Membership Composition:

Appointment is yearly and may be renewed. Committee membership includes representation from the following categories:

• Employee Relations Council
• Exempt Staff Council
• Faculty
• Exempt Staff
• Non-exempt Staff
• Skills, Crafts and Technical Staff
• Human Resources
